After an exhausting horseback riding lesson over spring break my daughter was ready for something tasty, something special, something like peanut butter bacon cookies. Nothing comparable to find in the pantry, so she decided to get baking. She loves my newest and just recently purchased baking book form Joy the baker .
Pretty soon the scent of bacon and peanuts filled not just the kitchen, but the whole house. Joy’s peanut butter bacon cookies are out of this world. They are crunchy, salty and sweet with lots of bacon and peanuts, just to die for. My daughter was extremely happy with the result (the rest of the family, too). kaum zu glauben, dass es schon wieder 10 Monate her ist, dass Du dieses leckere Rezept gebloggt hast und ich großmäulig verkündet habe, es unbedingt nachmachen zu wollen 😉 Nun ist zwar doch etwas mehr Zeit ins Land gegangen, aber aus dem Kopf gegangen ist mir das Rezept dennoch nicht. Die Cookies waren absolut umwerfend lecker und haben echtes Suchtpotential, auch wenn sie bei mir erst mal im Mittelpunkt einer kleinen Küchen-Katastrophe standen…

Wow, Erdnüsse UND Bacon in Cookies, das hört sich absolut umwerfend an! Ich kann diesen Mix aus süßen, salzigen und rauchigen Aromen förmlich schmecken. Und wieder ist die Nachkochliste ein Stück länger geworden ;o)

This recipe makes me want to import American style bacon! These cookies look SO good.
Normally I’m not a huge fan of peanut butter, BUT this sounds pretty darn amazing! I bet they smell heavenly baking! Mmm! Sounds so yummy right now with this ridiculous spring snow.
Peanut Butter and Bacon is still my choice for breakfast on homemade bread…the only difference is that I use the Morningstar Farms vegetarian bacon strips;-) I bet these are delicious and I know lots of people I can bake them for who will be in “pig” heaven!! XOXO
Years ago a friend took me out to an authentic country diner to have her favorite sandwich: Peanut Butter Bacon sandwiches, grilled. Before trying it was a ‘turn your nose up at it’ kind of idea but after giving it a go I completely got it! It’s a delicious combination of flavors though I’m sure better in a cookie than a sandwich frankly! I’m sure you all loved them!
